Safety on the coastal path: derelict buildings

One of the significant attractions of the coastal path is the plethora of ancient and industrial remains evident in the landscape.
The path passes burial mounds, hut circles, forts, holy wells, churches, brickworks and other industrial edifices. Whilst the path allows you to enjoy these sights it is important to remember that these are, in the main, private property. Do not enter such buildings unless you have been given specific permission to do so. Also - for your own safety - many of these buildings are in a state of dereliction and so should not be entered in case of collapse.
